The Role

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Work Placement coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience liaising with employers across the city and identifying the mutual benefits that work placements provide. Experience with health and safety assessment, accurate record keeping and personal organization are key in this role. Responsibilities include contacting employers to offer placements, visiting conducting risk assessments, helping students to meet their mentors and access their placements, communicating with parents, students and employers to ensure that students' learning needs are met. The successful candidate will have excellent IT and communication skills and a passion for supporting students with additional needs into employment. What Will You Bring to the Role
  • Delivering : Deliver a variety of meaningful high quality, safe and inclusive work placements across the City for Skills Development students to access.
  • Organizing : Organize and track placement health and safety information, plan and facilitate meetings for students and mentors and conduct work placement appraisals for students.
  • Interacting : Share information with employers, tutors, support staff, students and parents to give all learners opportunities to develop their workskills. Highlighting the value work placement students can add to a business and the economic development of the city.
  • Visioning : Setting and striving for high standards of placement, learner outcomes including supporting learners into paid employment.
