The School of Engineering based at Luckyn Lane (Basildon College) is looking to expand its team in this exciting time in our journey. We are looking for a motivated and suitably qualified Electronics Engineer to join our dynamic team to teach Electronics from Level 1 - Level 3 students and apprentices. Prior experience of working with EAL, BTEC (Pearson), T-Levels qualifications is desirable, but not essential. We welcome those from an industry background, looking to get into teaching, as full training and support will be provided to the successful candidate. As an industry specialist, you will have the ability to teach practical and theory sessions in the following areas: Electronic Circuits and Devices Analogue Electronic Circuits Digital Electronic Circuits Microcontroller systems Use of Multisim and Flow Code As a minimum, candidates will ideally possess the following: A degree in Engineering or other related field (Electronics) Up-to-date industry experience in Electronics Maths and English at grade 4 (C) or above Ideally a teaching qualification (although we will provide training to achieve this) Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment A commitment to working within FE. Levelling Up Premium Did you know that as teacher within the first 5 years of your FE teaching career you can apply for a "levelling up premium" from the Department of Education, which is worth between £4k and £6k net of tax. This is for anyone who has a teaching qualification, currently working towards a teaching qualification or will start working towards the teaching qualification within the next 12 months. The claim window opens each autumn and is applicable to anyone teaching the following subject areas: Building and construction Chemistry Computing, including digital and ICT Early years Engineering and manufacturing, including transport engineering and electronics.
