Are you a passionate and dedicated educator looking to make a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Join our dynamic team in Hertfordshire and help shape the future of inclusive education! We are currently seeking an enthusiastic SEND Teacher to inspire and support students across our diverse community.

Role Overview:

As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You will work closely with students, parents, and other professionals to develop tailored learning plans that meet individual needs and foster a love for learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of SEND students, including those with autism, learning disabilities, and speech and language difficulties.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and other support staff to create a holistic approach to student development.
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor student progress, assess outcomes, and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence, confidence, and respect.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching students with SEND.
  • A strong understanding of SEND principles, including knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
  • Creativity, flexibility, and resilience in adapting teaching approaches to meet individual student needs.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
