Could you be our new IT Apprentice?

This is a great opportunity to learn on the job and gain a Level 2 IT, Software, Web & Telecoms Professional Apprenticeship

We are looking to recruit an IT apprentice on a 14-month fixed term contract who will be joining our team at an exciting time as we continue to evolve and modernise our IT systems. The IT apprentice is an entry-level IT job for those wishing to work within an educational establishment. Duties will include routine 1st line IT support to staff and students at the college under supervision from senior IT staff. There is also opportunity to work on exciting transformational IT projects within the department. This role also offers day release to attend classes at Sussex Downs College in Lewes to work towards a Level 2 IT, Software, Web & Telecoms Professional Apprenticeship

The ideal candidate will be hardworking, enthusiastic and committed to completing the apprenticeship and earning a formal qualification.  This role would suit an individual who enjoys dealing with a variety of technical problems and who is responsible and able to work in a busy team.

The rates of pay for this role will be based on the national minimum wage for apprenticeships:

Year 1: £4.00 per hour.

Year 2:

Under 18 £4.20 per hour, Age 18-20 £5.90 per hour, Age 21-24 £7.38 per hour, Age 25+ £7.83 per hour
