Marketing Officer (Publications)
Colchester Institute is looking for an experienced Marketing Officer to head up the Publications team with responsibility for the production of an extensive range of the College’s marketing literature and promotional materials for Colchester Institute. This will include prospectuses, brochures, newsletters, posters and flyers along with the creation of media campaigns and advertising for the whole College, across all sites. Responsibility will involve ensuring all work is produced to a high standard and in keeping with the brand guidelines. You will work closely with various colleagues across Colchester Institute and will be expected to build successful relationships with contacts throughout the College and externally. You will be responsible for the daily line management of the small Publications team.
You will have a good standard of general education, to include GCSE 9-4 or equivalent in English and Maths. You will have experience of working within marketing or a publication house, with proven experience in print and advertising. You will be able to demonstrate highly developed copywriting and proof reading skills. With a formal qualification in English and a relevant degree you will also be required to have experience of using websites, digital marketing and social networking sites as a marketing tool. Good design skills or having worked in a design environment, experience with InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator would support your application. You will be required to support the wider marketing team at Open Events, Careers Evenings, UCAS Fairs, Graduation and other marketing events. This will involve working some evenings, weekends and involve travel across the UK to attend UCAS Fairs.
