We are proud of our campuses, each of them being vibrant, social and career-focused places to be in. At our two largest campuses in Abingdon and Witney, our great facilities include open access student support areas, a newly refurbished refectory complete with a Costa Coffee shop and games tables, brand new e-learning zones and break out areas, high quality learning centres, a lecture theatre, specialist vocational workshops, state-of-the-art film production and recording units, and, new for September 2016, Oxfordshire’s only Lee Stafford Hair and Beauty Academy based in our industry-standard hair and beauty salons.
We are taking the lead in Further Education, securing futures through our innovative approach to local and national skills and employment needs. Located in the well-connected and thriving Thames Valley, we deliver a broad range of top quality full and part-time courses and programmes across three main campuses and 20 other locations.
Our Abingdon and Witney campuses have both recently been refurbished. A new Pathways hub houses The Propeller Project and Macintyre Abingdon Partnership students. The College has also been awarded £4m from the Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership and the funding will result in the building of the new Advanced Engineering and Technology Skills Centre at our Abingdon campus.
At our Witney campus, the Courthouse building on Welch Way has been replaced by a new three storey building which houses the main reception, Pathway One, classrooms, IT suites and staff offices. A new Construction Skills Centre has been built in the place of the Weavers building and offers new trades such as plumbing.
Our Common Leys Farm campus in Hailey is a 60-acre campus, which boasts purpose-built areas and facilities that house a range of land-based learning for subjects from Animal Care to Horticulture. Common Leys campus also has a fully functioning equine stud yard and was recently awarded a Queen’s Anniversary Prize for its work in the equine field.
