The college is committed to supporting the welfare and wellbeing of all staff.

As a member of staff at Northern College, you have access to a wide range of support services including:

• Occupational Health Services
  The college has on-going access to occupational health care professionals. Occupational health provides information and guidance which enables the college to provide effective support to those staff who experience health-related issues during their employment. Occupational health can be accessed via your line manager or the Human Resources Department.

• Counselling
  The college has access to counselling services to provide support to staff. Appointments with a counsellor can be requested via the Human Resources Department.

• Gym Membership
  Staff have free access to the facilities at the local Metrodome leisure centre. Facilities include access to the fitness suite, sauna suite, aerobic and dance classes, swimming pools, badminton, squash and football courts. For more information visit www.themetrodome.co.uk

• Health Schemes
  Staff can choose to pay into either Healthshield or Westfield health schemes and benefit from corporate membership rates.

The college is also signed up to the Mindful Employer Charter, Disability Confident and has been accredited by Committed to Equality.
