Are you a qualified Counsellor looking for an opportunity to pass on your knowledge and skills to the next generation?
Are you also a qualified teacher, or keen to learn and develop a career in teaching?
As part of the growth and development of our Counselling provision, Abingdon & Witney College are looking for a highly motivated professional to join us in delivering our range of Counselling courses.
The purpose of the Lecturer in Counselling role is to deliver high quality and effective teaching, learning and assessment to Counselling students in the School of Health and Education. This is an outstanding curriculum area within the college and our Counselling Programmes range from Level 1 to the CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. You will also act as the Programme Coordinator for our Counselling provision, working with the team to ensure that the quality of our provision is maintained at a high standard. You will also have the opportunity to work with the Head of Faculty in planning and developing a new Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person and to apply for this post you must be a qualified Counsellor to at least level 4/5 standard and currently in practice with 2 years counselling experience. You will also have a supervision qualification or 1 years’ experience of offering counselling supervision and a member of a UK professional counselling body (BACP), engaging in regular professional development in line with ethical guidelines of the professional organisation.
Although a teaching qualification is an advantage, training opportunities exist within the College and we can support you in gaining your Award in Education and Training Level 3 Qualification (AET), within your first year of joining the college.
In return, Abingdon & Witney College offer excellent benefits including generous pension and holiday schemes, flexible working options, corporate gym membership, and a cycle/tech scheme.
We are also looking for Hourly Paid Lecturers in Counselling, so if you are interested but you are unable to commit to the above opportunity, then please do get in touch with Danielle at email@example.com for more information
