We now have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Maths Tutor, teaching across GCSE & Functional skills but with an emphasis on teaching across the new T level provision (FE) in a permanent, full time (37 hours per week) basis.
As a Maths Tutor, you will provide supervision of your curriculum area, ensuring that you meet budget, quality and operational targets. You will deliver high quality, learner-focused education providing a secure and friendly environment in order for your students to succeed.
As a T level Maths Tutor, you will also be expected to
Lead the planning, co-ordination and delivery of Mathematics to students learning within the Technical Transition and T Level curriculum. Ensure Schemes of Learning, Lesson plans, Course Files and other supporting documentation are designed to enable learners to reach aspirational goals.
Attend Transition and T Level planning meetings.
Participate in the development of internal and external partnerships in order to disseminate information, share best practice, establish opportunities for collaborative work and enhance the delivery of learning in readiness for T Levels.
Prepare for, attend and participate in awarding body T Level updates.
Attend and positively engage in college CPD and share good practice around T Levels.
To participate in and support others in continual professional development activities to ensure skills and qualifications are in line with sector best practice and readiness for T Levels.
In order to do this, you will need:
A teaching / assessing (as appropriate) qualification and subject-specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) with a commitment to obtain the relevant outstanding Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) qualification within a specified time scale.
English and Maths - must be qualified to a minimum of Level 2.
A demonstrable track record of effective teaching and delivering in Mathematics.
