Based at St Austell, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to manage and teach on Programmes of Study delivered by the Cornwall College and Cornwall Care, Care Academy. The successful person will deliver professional and innovative courses to 16 – 18 year olds embarking on their Health and Social Care learning journey and to adults on level 2 or 3 programmes considering or working in the Health and Social Care Sector and on our HE programmes. You will manage all aspects of the Study Programme and provide a positive experience for all learners enrolled that enables them to achieve to their maximum potential.
Applicants must be passionate to share their knowledge and experiences of working in the Health and Social Care sector, in particular as a Registered Medical Assistant. You will ideally have experience of teaching (or willingness to undertake a PGCE qualification within three years of appointment) and will be a Registered Medical Assistant in the Health and Social Care sector, this can include work-based training and/or mentorship. You must have current experience of working in the sector and up to date knowledge of current practices, policies and legislation related to Health and Social Care. You must hold Level 2 English and maths, Driving Licence and use of a car.
