Part time - 22 hours per week

The post of Lecturer in Commercial Photography will support delivery of the Bournemouth University validated programme based at our Salisbury campus within the department of Creative Arts & Media.  This role will start in August for academic year 2021 – 2022.  A vibrant and creative place to work, you would be joining a highly skilled and resourceful team and working in new purpose-built facilities.

The 0.6 Lecturer in Commercial Photography will have relevant and current industry experience in Photography, ongoing research and professional practice activities, specialist knowledge and expertise and be passionate about enabling students to produce innovative and high-quality content.  Our HE courses produce award-winning photographs and we are looking for a talented and ambitious person who can contribute to our growing university level provision.

Our courses focus on a personalised, student-centred approach preparing individuals to work in the Photography industry in the future.  We welcome applications from candidates who possess an undergraduate degree in Photography or related Media subject and a teaching qualification, a postgraduate degree is desirable.  The post holder will be required to help FE and HE students develop the core skills and fundamental knowledge associated with this subject, inspiring students through varied and relevant teaching through studio practice, with some support for dissertations. You will have strong organisational skills, expertise in planning, developing and delivering teaching and learning across a range of theory and practical modules, at both FE and HE levels.

We are interested in hearing from individuals who are effective team players, keen to build relationships that will enrich the student experience, participate in building networks for work placements, and have the desire to work collaboratively with the immediate and wider team and community.
