Employability Tutor/Supported Internship Co-ordinator

The College requires a self-starter to work alongside the curriculum team, to develop relationships with prospective employers for sustainable and rewarding internship/employability placements for study programme students.


The role will consist of effectively planning and co-ordinating the provision of supported internships for learners which supports their learning, their EHCP outcomes, their progression prospects and the College’s reputation with employers. Engaging employers to create ‘supported internship’ opportunities for young people with Special Educational & Development Needs (SEND) and lease with local authorities on the recruitment of learners to the programme.  The ideal candidate will support students within the workplace to carry out their allocated tasks and increase their independence skills.


The ideal candidate will provide high quality education, training and skills to college students and clients in order to meet the Colleges mission, aims and objectives. As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of teaching / training / assessment on the courses that you teach and accountable to the HOS for the academic and professional standards, performance and outcomes of the courses on which you teach.
