We're looking for someone with drive and ambition to help inspire the next-generation of tech graduates to discover new ways of working through exciting lessons. Therefore, candidates are required to have pedagogic knowledge and experience, with a motivation for continuous professional development in their subject specialism. Innovative teaching and learning practices that are interactive, engaging and have an emphasis on thinking skills, problem solving, logic and an understanding of how things work are essential.
The post holder must have relevant qualifications at degree level or equivalent and experience with media software and programmes. You should be a highly driven specialist that is confident in many of the following areas; Computer Science, Cyber Security, Digital Skills, Graphics & Animation, Games Design & Development, Networking, Programming, Project Development & HCI, Software and Apps Development and Web Development
An eagerness to work as part of a collaborative department, drive change, constructively challenge, participate in cross curriculum activities and liaise with colleagues from other departments across the College are essential parts of this role.
Experience and qualifications in teaching and learning would be advantageous, although industry experience coupled with the ambition of becoming an outstanding tutor will be considered. Barnfield College offers and supports free teacher training to those wishing to enter the teaching profession.
