The Vice Principal Curriculum (Growth & Performance) will need to inspire, lead and transform education, with a focus on curriculum growth development, and the opportunity to grow and develop a forward looking education and skills offer. We are looking for a talented, highly skilled person to join our Senior Leadership Team as Vice Principal Curriculum (Growth & Performance). This would suit a highly motivated Senior Curriculum Manager, looking for your next career opportunity. Our focus is on delivering excellent learning programmes from entry level to higher levels with a particular focus on technical skills, to enhance the life chances of young people and adults in the South Essex area. This senior manager will provide strategic leadership and management of curriculum growth across the College including higher technical qualifications, adult and commercial programmes and apprenticeships. This will involve working in collaboration with key stakeholders, (internal and external) and play a leading role in building and strengthening productive partnerships with local stakeholders particularly employers, to develop an offer that meets local skills need. Our successful candidate will have: • A Degree in a relevant subject area • A recognised teaching qualification (CertEd / PGCE / DET or DTLLS) • A minimum of 3 years' experience in strategic curriculum management • The skills and proven track record of developing curriculum, particularly apprenticeships and adult programmes • Significant experience of partnership working, particularly with employers • The ability to inspire, motivate and develop our talented staff. • Detailed practical knowledge of current issues and developments in post 16 education along with delivery models for a range of programmes. • Ability to lead a team as well as function as an effective strategic leader.
