Health & Safety Advisor
Salary up to £26,040 to £30,318 per annum
37 hours per week
Suffolk New College is currently seeking a health and safety professional to actively promote health and safety across all campuses at the College. As part of this exciting and challenging role you will be required to be the point of contact for all health and safety issues with a key role in raising awareness and ensuring all staff and students acknowledge and embrace their individual responsibility for health and safety.
You will be required to; provide specialist advice and guidance, develop and review relevant policies and procedures, deliver, source and record training, develop accident prevention and health and safety events and initiatives for staff and students. You will be responsible for ensuring health and safety compliance and you will be required to take pro-active role in the operational delivery of all aspects of health and safety activity.
With responsibilities across all four of the Suffolk New College campuses, you will be required to travel between campuses and therefore you will need to hold a full driving license and have access to a vehicle. You should also hold the National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (NEBOSH), accompanied by Level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English alongside up-to-date knowledge of all relevant Health and Safety Legislation. A first aid training qualification is desirable.
