Specialist Learning Support Tutor (SpLD)

Could you be our next Specialist Learning Support Tutor? This role is an exciting opportunity to adopt innovative approaches to manage, develop and promote Learning Support across all of Plumpton College’s campuses, working closely with our Head of inclusive Learning and Development. 

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in ensuring that students with SEND are assessed effectively and that their progress is monitored. The Specialist Learning Support Tutor will work with the Head of Inclusive Learning and Development and Leads to ensure that students’ learning needs are met through provision, planning and monitoring and through ILPs (individual learning plans) mirroring of final exams Access Arrangements in 1-1s, small group support and bespoke support sessions as required.

The successful candidate will have an extensive knowledge of SEND and the EHCP review process, and will be familiar with all relevant legislation. With a recognised teaching qualification, they will ideally possess a Level 7 Qualification in SpLD or be willing to work towards this. A professional, hardworking team player, this individual will be a confident team player who is passionate about delivering the best possible support to our students.
