Lead Tutors – Health & Social Care, Teacher Education and HE

Salary: £32,690 - £35,705 per annum

Full time: 36 Hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Location: Wentworth Castle, Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Key duties:

  • Leading the design and implementation of the curriculum plan within an agreed area of the curriculum to ensure it meets student and funder needs.
  • Co-ordination of teaching, learning and assessment within an agreed area of the curriculum.
  • Co-ordination of in-house quality assurance procedures to ensure that all provision meets the requirements of funding organisations.
  • Co-ordination and participation in the design and development of teaching and learning materials including for blended and online delivery.
  • Ensuring the successful completion, achievement and progression of all students in the curriculum area.
  • Organise, plan, deliver and assess teaching, learning and assessment at a variety of levels and ensure the completion of timely documentation relating to this.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in teaching delivery in relevant subject areas:
    • For Health & Social Care - Social or Health related to a minimum of Level 2
    • For HE and Teacher Education – to Level 3
  • Proven ability to co-ordinate team activities and the ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their goals.
  • A level 7 qualification in the relevant subject area, along with a level 5 teaching qualification.
  • Assessor/IV Award or willing to achieve, along with English and Maths at Level 2 or above.
