Learning Mentor Apprentice (Level 3), Part Time (0.95 FTE)

The successful candidate will start on 31 August 2021.

 

Fixed Term Contract for 18 months.

Apprenticeship Rates are age-related:

Level Three

(16yrs to 17yrs) £4.92 per hour or £9,492 PA

(18yrs to 20yrs) £6.86 per hour or £13,235 PA

(21yrs to 22yrs) £8.66 per hour or £16,707 PA

(23+yrs) £8.91 per hour or £17,189 PA

 

WHAT WE DO 

This is an exciting opportunity to join Leeds College as an Apprentice Learning Mentor in our Outstanding (OFSTED Feb 2018) 14+ Academies (14+ Apprenticeship Academy, 14+ ESOL Academy and 14+ P-TECH Academy). We are seeking a dynamic, talented and personable individual to support our learners. The post holder will work closely with all staff in a wide-ranging role but predominantly with our P-TECH Academy so an interest in digital technologies would be beneficial.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Learning Mentors work in partnership with teaching staff to support students with their learning in classes.
  • To work with all staff to enable students to access the curriculum and when necessary, provide pastoral care.
  • Post holders may be asked to lead groups of students, under the direction and supervision of a competent and qualified member of staff, to offer academic interventions where necessary. Assist students where appropriate, in the proper use of learning aides and equipment and to ensure that they are readily available.
  • To deliver and be responsible for an Academy tutor group.
