We now have an opportunity to join our casual bank of Technician staff. This Casual Technician role provides support in the Catering department in a way that helps provide learners with access to appropriate equipment, materials and resources for their lessons.
Supporting the team with a flexible and proactive approach in all aspects of the restaurant, Bistro, and Hospitality requirements, you must ensure that all areas are kept in a clean, tidy and safe manner at all times in line with College Health, Hygiene and Safety procedures. Supporting learners, where appropriate, with their understanding of the procedures that should be carried out within a front of house operation, you will carry out all cleaning duties within the Restaurant, bar, bistro and kitchen areas including large and small items of kitchen equipment, tables and sink areas.
You must also prepare food trolleys, clean any laundry items and receive and store deliveries accurately for quality, quantity and temperature against the appropriate order.
With previous experience of working within an educational, industrial or commercial environment, ideally within catering, you will have experience of dealing with members of the public, and ideally working with students. Candidates should hold a basic food hygiene certificate (or be willing to work towards this) and ideally a level 2 qualification in Customer Service, Catering or Hospitality.
Please note, this is a casual role which means that specific days and hours cannot be guaranteed. Work will be offered on a casual, ad hoc basis to fit the needs of the service. Additional payments will be made for holiday pay.
