Salary:                   £28.47 per hour

Hours:                   25 hours per week

Location:               Kings Cross/Kennet West Skill Centre

 

Westminster Kingsway College is recruiting a specialist SEND teacher for our growing provision at Alexandra, Kennet West and King’s Cross Centres. We require a teacher to lead and teach on our MLD and SLD courses for learners with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated behavioural needs. This is a specialist post and experience in these fields are crucial. The post holder will be primarily responsible for providing effective teaching, assessment and tutoring and take a lead in the learners’ pastoral care.

 

You will have an excellent understanding of the learning needs of students with ASD and a specialism in teaching this cohort. You will be able to baseline assess students and document the learner journey, setting effective SMART targets and identifying distance travelled. You will be an enthusiastic teacher who can differentiate effectively and who has effective classroom management.
