We are looking for an inspiring tutor for Hampshire to teach Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools and Colleges and schools and parenting courses L1-L2 in Southampton and Portsmouth. The WEA works on a number of local authority contracts and this role will involve travel around other parts of Hampshire to teach schools and parenting courses for these contracts. A tutor who has experience of successfully working with adults to develop their skills to deliver a planned programme of courses both face to face and online. Experience of teaching in schools would be advantageous. We would love to hear from you if you would like to join us.

We are currently recruiting for a Schools and Parenting Tutor who has:
Up-to-date working knowledge and experience of teaching to diverse student groups
-Experience of working in community settings.
-A strong understanding of adult learning and a belief in its importance
-A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed or appropriate professional experience)
-Experience of delivering non-accredited and accredited courses
-Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
-A desire to share and improve teaching practice
As a qualified, experienced and capable tutor, you will teach in community venues, use blended learning techniques to include digital learning through our Canvas platform and also have the skills to deliver teaching via Zoom.
You will be keen to engage with people from a range of disadvantaged backgrounds and rekindle their love of learning, and you will share our passion for egalitarianism and empowerment.
