Up to £61,818 per annum

35 hours per week

This is an exciting and excellent career opportunity to join the Senior Management Team at Suffolk New College. This role will require you to lead on all strategic aspects of the Sport, Public Services, Health & Social Care, Childcare, Business & Enterprise and Foundation Learning curriculum. Supported by two Curriculum Heads, you will have oversight and accountability for the curriculum development, performance and operational delivery.

This is an exciting period of growth and development for the Directorate, with bold plans to grow and develop the existing provision, to include the implementation of T Levels in Education and Childcare (Early Years Education and Childcare), Healthcare Science (Assisting with Healthcare Science) and Health (Supporting the Adult Nursing Team). The successful applicant will play a key role leading on curriculum planning, including the long-term design of an innovative class based and work based learning curriculum, as well as a requirement to work on the development of new facilities and the reconfiguration of existing facilities.

Reporting to the Deputy Principal, you will pro-actively lead and manage the Directorate to deliver an exceptional student experience. You will therefore need to be able to demonstrate:

  • Strategic vision with the ability to translate to operational outputs and impact;
  • Inspirational and motivational leadership qualities;
  • Expertise in the curriculum areas of the role with experience of working with young people aged 16+;
  • Ability to build and develop sustainable relationships with employers and external agencies;
  • Creative, innovative and solution focused approaches, which deliver an exceptional student experience and student outcomes.

You should also hold a relevant degree or professional qualification, maths and English at Level 2 or equivalent alongside a teaching qualification at Level 5 or above. Ideally you will also hold a professional management qualification.

This post is predominantly based at Suffolk New College Ipswich Campus. However, Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site and the Directorate has provision across all College sites, therefore you will be required to work at and travel between campuses.
