We now have an opportunity for a Placement Co-ordinator to join us to organise work placements for Childcare students and to assess students while on placement, liaising with employers effectively and efficiently to ensure all students can complete the work placement element of their programme.
Identifying, researching and visiting companies and organisations for potential placement opportunities, you will update relevant forms and orientation materials and match students with appropriate placements; liaising with placement providers to organise appropriate placements.
Monitoring all aspects of student placements, you will conduct site visits and prepare Health & Safety reports when necessary, organise and conduct placement briefings for students and monitor student attendance on placement. You must also manage student documents, input placement information and assess childcare students on placement in line with awarding body criteria.
With experience of working with 16-18 year olds and a track record of meeting targets, outputs, deadlines and quality standards, you will have a background of working in an education or training environment and hold a level 3 qualification in a relevant area and an Assessor Award.
A good level of IT literacy (including Microsoft Office packages and email) is required and you must be able to communicate with employers to match needs and skills and plan and undertake business and recruitment services which support young people in training.
Due to the nature of the role, candidates must have a full driving licence and access to their own vehicle with relevant business insurance cover.
This is a fixed-term role until the 31st August 2022. The role is part-time, 18.5 hours per week.
