School Business Manager / Bursar - September 2021Starting from September 2021, two small schools on the outskirts of Huddersfield are looking to recruit someone to manage the finances and budgets of their schools whilst working in their vibrant primary school office environment. Not only will the daily running of the office include the basic, front-line tasks that encompass a school administrator role, but you will also be tasked with the use and supervision of systems including Integris, Money Manager, Parent Pay Etc.You will be the first person that any school visitor sees upon their arrival, meaning that you are the first impression that is made. It is vital to any school that visitors are welcomed in a manor that is in keeping with the ethos of the school, and here the school is warm, friendly and nurturing.The Job role will include:Finance - income, expenditure and reconciliations of school accountsBudget preparation and budget monitoring across the FederationHR - dealing with recruitment, DBS checks and personnel records across the FederationPayroll returns and reconciliations across the FederationLead on Procurement as necessaryManaging Capital projects, site maintenance, Health and Safety proceduresReporting to GovernorsDealing with admissions and in-year admissionsMonitoring staff and pupil's attendanceWe are seeking:A highly skilled, suitably qualified, experienced and forward thinking professionalA person who has experience of working within an education environmentA person with experience of school systems for example: FMS, Sims and HRAn experienced individual who has a real commitment to the latest trends and developments in School Business ManagementAn organised person with proven financial management and communication skillsA willingness to be fully involved in the life of our schoolAs our Business Manager you will haveLeadership, financial experience and management of areas including Premises, Health and Safety, Administration, Facilities and HR;A recognised business qualification such as CSBM or other relevant professional qualification or can demonstrate equivalent experience;A high level of drive and motivation with the ability to motivate others;The ability to contribute significantly to the strategic vision and direction of the school;A proactive approach to school business development;Excellent communication skills, both oral and written;Good interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with different stake holders and service providers.For details, please apply and upload your CV immediately
