Higher Education Liaison Co-ordinator
Salary up to £20,703 per annum
Fixed-term until 31 July 2022, 37 hours per week
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who is able to engage with both young people aged 16-19 as well as adult learners (19+) to inspire them to progress to higher education.
This post is funded by the National Collaborative Outreach Programme (locally this is ‘NEACO’), with the objective of increasing the numbers of students from disadvantaged backgrounds and under-represented groups to progress on to university or onto higher apprenticeship programmes.
As a recent graduate, you will have experience of mentoring or supporting young people and will have worked with them to increase their confidence, self-esteem and belief in their full potential.
You will need to be organised, self-motivated, student focused, an effective communicator and able to work on your own initiative. You will have a Level 2 qualification or equivalent in English and Maths, and a degree or equivalent level qualification.
Please note that as Suffolk New College is a multi-campus college, you will be required to work at and travel between campuses.
