Activate Learning are currently seeking an enthusiastic Full Time Equine Yard supervisor to join our team based at Merrist Wood College.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day care of the horses on the college yard, ensuring that a high standard is maintained throughout and that student activity is facilitated safely and effectively. In-addition, you will help create a supportive learning environment for our students, to ensure we maintain constant learning but to also recognise individual capabilities whilst encouraging them to achieve their end goals.
There will be a requirement to undertake exercising of allocated horses and an expectation to work weekend days on a rota basis.
What do you need to be successful in this role?
The successful candidate will have experience of working on a busy, professional equine yard and hold a BHS Level 3 (or equivalent). A flexible working approach is needed and the ability to work as part of a team is a must.
Further training towards BHS examinations and Assistant Instructor Qualified or BHS Stage 3 teaching is required for this role.
