An exciting opportunity has arisen in the School of Business, Computing & Travel for a Part Time Business Lecturer (0.4fte) to join our successful team from September 2021.
You must have excellent knowledge and understanding of Pearson BTEC new qualifications, exams and assessments. You will be required to teach a range of Business units with additional topics across all levels 1-5 such as Finance, International Business and Principles of Management.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, flexible, student centred and be a strong role model. You will be required to support students across all levels with their pastoral needs whilst monitoring course specific KPI's. You will have a good level of industry understanding or experience that can be shared within the classroom environment. The right candidate will be capable of developing a wide range of engaging learning materials which stimulate students to successful achievement at the highest level and promote opportunity for progression or employment.
The successful candidate will join a vibrant and high-performing team, and you will contribute to maintaining our high standards and expectations. You will be confident, proactive and have the ability to manage programmes and the progress of learners efficiently and effectively meeting key deadlines with effective time management and planning skills. You will have an ability to promote, support and embed English and maths skills within planning and delivery of all teaching.
A relevant degree is required and a teaching qualification is desirable, although full training to obtain a teaching qualification can be provided.
This is a part-time (0.4fte) position based at our Enterprise Way Campus, Luton.
