Tier 2 Learning Support Assistant vacancies

Up to £20,686 pro rata
We are looking for qualified and experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSA) within our Curriculum Services team to work across the following three City College Norwich campuses: Norwich campus, Easton campus and Paston campus, supporting in a range of learning environments and academic areas.
Applicants can request full or part time hours working over 36 weeks per year of term time and additional two weeks of CPD (continuous professional development). There is also an opportunity for evening hours as well. Applicants for Tier 2 positions will have a full level 3 Learning Support Practitioner Qualification or something similar and a level2 qualification which is LDD specific eg BSL, SpLD, ASD etc. . For this tier, you will also have a level C/5 or above GCSE English and maths
Posts offering personal care:
Applicants must have or be willing to support young adults with personal intimate care and may be asked to work across the college or in our Preparation for Adult Life (PAL) course. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the college in one of our specialist areas in our purpose-built learning environments, with specialist sensory area, a rebound therapy room and two personal care suites and rated outstanding by Ofsted!
You will have knowledge or willingness to work with students with highly complex needs and the successful applicant/s will be asked to offer personal intimate care, feeding, medication and participate in activities such as swimming and outdoor trips (post covid). Experience and knowledge in both care and education settings would be an advantage.
Posts offering sector skills:
We are also looking for qualified support staff to inspire our young engineers and our sports students whilst supporting them to develop sector ready skills to move into the workplace, although you may be also asked to work in other areas too depending on student support need.
You will have an appropriate level of literacy, numeracy, and ICT to support alongside practical or subject based knowledge. The most important attribute we look for is the drive to want to support young adults to be independent, confident, and ready for work, irrespective of any barriers to learning.
