Fixed term maternity cover and supply posts with full or part time hours

£18,328 per annum pro rata (£10.73 per hour)

We are looking for Learning Support Assistants (LSA) within our Curriculum Services team to work across the following three City College Norwich campuses: Norwich campus, Easton campus and Paston campus, supporting in a range of learning environments and academic areas.

This is a great opening for anyone with a passion to support young people.

Currently we have full and/or part time fixed term, maternity cover and supply posts which could lead to permanent positions within the year.  Applicants for Tier 4 positions are welcome from those new to support but looking for a career in supporting students with a learning disability or difficulty.

Posts offering personal care:

Applicants must be willing to support young adults with personal intimate care and may be asked to work across the college or in our Preparation for Adult Life (PAL) course. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the college in one of our specialist areas in our purpose-built learning environments, with specialist sensory area, a rebound therapy room and two personal care suites and rated outstanding by Ofsted!

You will have knowledge or willingness to work with students with highly complex needs and the successful applicant/s will be asked to offer personal intimate care, feeding, medication and participate in activities such as swimming and outdoor trips (post covid). Experience and knowledge in both care and education settings would be an advantage

Posts offering sector skills:

We are also looking for support staff to inspire our young engineers and our sports/public service students, whilst supporting them to develop sector ready skills to move into the workplace, although you may be also asked to work in other areas too depending on student support need. 

You will have a proficient level of literacy, numeracy, and ICT to support alongside practical or subject based knowledge. The most important attribute we look for is the drive to want to support young adults to be independent, confident, and ready for work, irrespective of any barriers to learning.
