The Information Services Department has three main areas of responsibility within the College which are: Student Records, Examinations and Employer Engagement. We are looking for an organised and computer literate individual to join our team.
The post holder will be one of a number of Information Service Assistants who between them cover a wide range of duties to assist in the day-to-day running of the department and the computerised systems relating to all aspects of student records. Duties include data input from a variety of sources, updating or amending records, setting up and keeping up to date on-line registers, checking information against other computerised systems. In addition you may be required to assist the examinations team with procedures, exam entries, compilation and distribution of exam papers, analysis and publication of exam results and statistics. You will regularly liaise with students and teaching staff, responding to a range of enquiries.
To be successful you will have a good basic level of education including literacy and numeracy to GCSE or equivalent with the ability to understand and interpret complex documents. You will be computer literate and comfortable using a variety of database packages, have good inputting skills, a high level of accuracy as well as attention to detail while working under the pressure of deadlines. You will have strong communication skills and telephone manner, responding helpfully and appropriately to enquiries.What's in it for you?
