Salary: Unqualified up to £30,985,

Qualified* up to £39,112 per annum

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Chemistry teacher (Biology knowledge an advantage but not essential) to work within the Science team, who will be able to play a key role in the preparation, planning and delivery of learning and co-ordinating formal assessments for students studying science-based programmes. The Science team deliver a range of programmes, including both vocational and A level qualifications. We currently offer programmes at Level 2 and level 3, but are in the process of plan the introduction of a Level 4 science qualification in the next year.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone with a qualification to a minimum of degree level in Chemistry and/or Biology (or equivalent), who is able to confidently deliver high quality sessions in either Chemistry or Biology on Level 3 programmes, with the ability to teach at Level 4 an advantage. As a creative and pro-active professional you’ll be expected to use a range of effective and appropriate teaching and learning initiatives that engage, motivate and enable all learners to develop and succeed, as well as maximising student potential.
