18.5 hours per week 

The working pattern is Tuesday 6.5 hours, Thursday 6 hours, and Friday 6 hours per week  

52 weeks per annum

Abingdon and Witney College is looking to recruit a Student Adviser to join our Student Engagement team and help us to provide the best possible wellbeing support for all our students.   

  

Do you have 

  • Experience of safeguarding principles 

  • Experience of dealing with confidential information 

  • Experience of supporting students with mental health 

  • Experience of communicating effectively with multi agencies   

  • Experience of initiating complex risk assessments  

  • Ability to work independently and prioritise workloads  

  

We are looking for a key person to join our cross-campus team although this role is based in Abingdon. You must be able to work under pressure and can make decisions swiftly. You will work closely with all internal stakeholders and various external agencies.   

 

Duties also include responsibility for student wellbeing support, manage a caseload of students, safeguarding (including Prevent), and contributing to the reporting processes.
