Learning & Skills Coach (Assessor) - Childcare (Maternity Cover)

The role of Learning and Skills Coach – Childcare is responsible for delivering the knowledge required for the relevant qualification to Apprentices in the workplace.

Following and abiding by the College Standards and Core Principals and assuring excellence in the experience, progress and outcomes for the Apprentices and their employers, you will inspire, motivate and raise learners’ aspirations and participate in the development, planning and delivery of a range of standards, frameworks and programmes within your curriculum area.

Delivering consistently good or better learning outcomes and progress by employing an effective variety of learning methods, skills development, coaching and mentoring, you will carry out practical assessments and demonstrate a commitment and value of the importance of maths, English and ICT skills to the learners’ future and ensure the learners are full engaged in continual development of these skills.

Candidates for this role must hold an Assessor and/or Verifier Award (or equivalent), a minimum Advanced / level 3 qualification in a relevant occupational specialism and also experience in a relevant occupational setting. With experience of delivering Employer Responsive programmes including Apprenticeships, you must be capable of tracking, monitoring and providing feedback on learner progress to management, learners and employers.

Due to the field based nature of the role, you must hold a full driving licence, have the use of a car and be willing to travel within the Greater Manchester region.

This is a Maternity Cover role to approximately April 2022. Full and part time applications are welcome for this role.
