Within the range £18,801 to £20,703 pro rata*

14 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

This is an exciting opportunity in a varied and challenging role, which will require you to provide a point of contact for students, staff and employers and to assist with a range of administrative functions central to the running of the Suffolk New College on the Coast. You will offer information, advice and guidance and support to students on a range of issues including; curriculum offer, application and enrolment, welfare issues, finance and funding, emotional support, housing and living arrangements and personal relationships.

You will need to be proactive, with excellent customer service, organisational and administrative skills, as well as a flexibility to adapt your daily role to meet the operational needs and to be responsive to issues that arise. You will need to be motivational in your approach with young people and be able to offer them a range of strategies and support to assist them with any concerns and help them achieve. 

You should be IT competent, have a good standard of education, including Maths and English GCSE at C Grade or equivalent and hold a level 2 qualification in a related subject e.g. business administration, customer services, information advice and guidance.

This post is based at Suffolk New College on the Coast in Leiston/Halesworth, however Suffolk New College is a multi-campus, therefore you will be required to work at and travel between campuses . You will be part of a small team offering great vocational teaching in a specialist learning environment and ensuring our students receive an exceptional student experience. You will also link to the Student Support and Safeguarding Team at the Ipswich campus and there will be an expectation that you travel to Ipswich for team meetings, training and during college holiday periods.

*Actual salary based on term time, working 14 hours per week over 38 weeks per year in the region of £5,858.55 to £6,451.23.
