Position: Site Manager / Facilities ManagerLocation: Preston, LancashireSalary: £18,933 - £19,698Contract Type: Permanent, full-time (37 hours per week)Start Date: November 2021The SchoolVision for Education's permanent recruitment service are working in partnership with a welcoming mainstream secondary school on the outskirts of Preston to recruit a Site Manager for a permanent position starting in November 2021. The school prides itself on the excellent relationships nurtured between staff and students - something which is often commented on by both visitors and Ofsted. The broad and balanced curriculum plus a wide range of extra-curricular activities on offer ensures that their students develop into well rounded individuals well equipped for leaving schoolThe RoleThe school are looking to appoint a hard working and dedicated site manager for a full time, permanent position. This is a hands-on position which will involve leading a small team of both premises and cleaning staff. The successful candidate will take a lead on Health & Safety, risk assessments, compliance and ensuring statutory guidelines are metMain responsibilities of the role include:Ensuring the buildings & premises are kept to a high standard of repair/cleanliness and are safe for all usersMaintaining a Site Development Plan and having responsibility for the resolution of all site related issuesManaging, organising, and supervising staff that are part of the facilities support teamActing as a key holder for the site, including opening the premisesHealth & Safety officer for the schoolRequirements for the role:A - C in English & Maths at GCSE level (or equivalent)Ability to manage time and workload effectivelyKnowledge of Health, Safety, and security issues in schools (or transferable skills)Ability to communicate effectively with both colleagues and studentsVision for Education are committed to safeguarding children and young people.
