We have an excellent opportunity for a SEMH / SEN Primary School Teacher (KS2 & KS3) to join an expanding educational service and a new school based in Ilford. Working alongside the Headteacher you will demonstrate a clear understanding of the challenges of delivering consistent, quality learning opportunities.
The school offers a balance of academic studies, physical and outdoor education, vocational studies, and personal development programmes. The children are taught in small groups or on a one to one basis, using bite size learning based on personal interests and community issues to help engage the children and help extend their concentration. Using a trauma informed practice and an ATIC (Attachment Trauma Informed Care) model in a pro-active approach way you will help and support the children who come from backgrounds of Adverse Childhood Experiences. As the SEMH / SEN Primary School Teacher (KS2 & KS3), you would be expected to ensure all children and young people within your care are secure and receiving the best possible educational provision and outcomes.
As the SEMH / SEN Primary School Teacher (KS2 & KS3), you will have a sound knowledge of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage, excellent communication skills, a commitment to inclusive practice and can work within a multi-disciplinary team. You will also contribute to an integrated model of care and school development plan, whist supporting the pupils, recognising, and responding to their individual needs.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of differentiation and be flexible to work with and take responsibility for a small group of upper KS2 and lower KS3 learners, along with holding QTS Status.
