The SEN team work closely with learners to understand their specific needs and build their independence, whilst ensuring their dignity and safety. The successful post holder will have the opportunity to work with and learn from a team of specialists who implement quality and impactful learning support interventions and work collaboratively with curriculum departments, to provide support to them in relation to ensuring positive outcomes for disadvantaged learners.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about the provision of special education needs support and understand the difference they make in educating and training young, often disadvantaged people, in this sought after specialism.
With a Degree or equivalent level qualification in a relevant discipline, you will already possess a recognised teaching qualification or be willing to work towards achieving one. Ideally, you will also have the knowledge of current issues in Foundation Learning - including SEN relating to Entry Level Programmes - knowledge of The Continuum of Need and ACERs and knowledge of Foundation Learning curriculum specifications from E1 - L1.
As a Trainee Lecturer, you will be supported to develop into a teaching role, where your responsibilities will include contributing to divisional and College teams including sharing best practice and being involved in developing the curriculum. You will also take an active part in the marketing operations of the College including the recruitment and admission of students to the division.
The salary for this post is up to £23,941.
