WHAT WE DO

The School of Travel, Food and Drink is keen to appoint a teacher of Travel, Tourism and Aviation to join our existing team of enthusiastic and inspirational teachers who work collaboratively to manage excellent outcomes in terms of retention, attendance and achievement. Our key focus is inspiring learners to confidently progress into industry with the necessary skills and attitudes. The post holder will have experience of working in Travel, Tourism and Aviation and be able to inspire young people with their knowledge and skills. We openly promote a culture of positivity and focus on staff and student well-being to support active engagement and a desire to grow and develop.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You should have experience of working in the field of Travel, Tourism and Aviation A background in teaching or training in the subject area
You should have passion for student well-being and promoting a positive learning journey
You should have the ability to plan, teach and assess in line with awarding body expectations and student needs. You should have the ability to effectively use tracking systems to monitor and manage attendance and progress
You should have a strong desire to work collaboratively with the team and take part in ongoing CPD to develop and enhance skills and knowledge to promote effective teaching, learning and assessment

YOUR PROFILE

The post holder will have experience from working in the industry of Aviation, Travel and Tourism to support teaching across both areas.
You should Ideally have a background in training or teaching would be an advantage, however a willingness to undertake a relevant teaching qualification is an expectation if they currently do not hold one
You should have a positive and proactive approach is essential to this role in order to work in collaboration with the current team in addition to motivating and inspiring students
You should a genuine interest in student well-being and a determination to invest in positive outcomes for all students
