Responsible to:         Curriculum Area Manager in Foundation

Status:                        Full Time, Permanent

Purpose of the job:   To provide accessible and high-quality learning experiences to meet the needs of the Learners and Customers

The Foundation Learning Dept. at Reaseheath College have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join our specialist teaching team.

You will be based within our designated teaching area on our main site and will be responsible for the delivery of practical and theory learning to our Entry Level and Level 1 Engineering students. You will be required to contribute to the development and marketing of new curriculum opportunities as we seek to expand our provision and you will support the Foundation Dept.’s commitment to improving progression and life opportunities for our students.

You will become part of a well-established team within the college, so if you are highly motivated with a “can do” attitude or maybe starting out in your teaching career with a desire to develop yourself even further in a varied role such as this one, then this could be the job for you!

We are looking for an individual with a strong interest or experience in machinery (motor vehicle or agri-tech) with up to date knowledge. Ideally you will have some experience of teaching although teacher training, leading to a recognised teaching qualification, will be provided if required. Knowledge of SEND and complex learning needs is essential to this role.

Please note this role constitutes ‘regulated activity’ as defined by the Protection of Freedom Act 2012. The successful candidate will therefore be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with barred list information prior to starting employment. You must have the right to work in the UK and will be required to provide evidence to support this.
