The role:

This role is about putting teaching, learning and assessment front and centre of everything we do. You will lead a dynamic team to implement an innovative and exciting curriculum that equips students to prosper on rich digital and technical career pathways.

Embedding and creating a vision for your team you will work with the Faculty Coordinators to ensure high quality organisational planning and compliance with necessary administrative procedures. The role also included a proportional teaching commitment within the faculty.

You will have responsibility for creating the conditions for driving quality of teaching, learning and assessment to ensure learners have an outstanding experience and develop the skills, knowledge and attributes needed for their career progression.

About you and what do you need to be successful? 

You will be an inspiring manager, responsible for developing teachers and assessors to improve team performance, with a corresponding improvement in the student experience and outcomes. You will have an aptitude for using technology to enhance learning coupled with good planning and organisational skills. Experience of facilitating or leading outstanding teaching, learning and assessment and achieving excellent outcomes for learners is essential.

Experience of BTEC, C&G or vocational qualifications is imperative.

In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.
