School Partner

There is an exciting opportunity to join the Magic Breakfast team as we continue to grow as an organisation in order to reach more children at risk of hunger in the UK. In the past year we have doubled the number of schools we work with and tripled the number of children we reach each school day, and we have an ambitious strategy which will continue to see all areas of the charity grow in order to end child morning hunger for good.Against this backdrop, we are looking for a School Partner to effectively and efficiently deliver Magic Breakfast's programme with a group of schools in a given regional area.School Partner Requirements:Acting as a Magic Breakfast school's main point of contact, the School Partner's role will be to work with their allocated schools to establish, develop and optimise school breakfast provision as well as monitoring the charity's outcomes through schools. Key to the School Partner role is ensuring all schools are supported and challenged to strive to reach every child at risk of hunger. In addition, the School Partner may need to recruit new schools to take up Magic Breakfast's offer of support as and when funding is available, leading them through the Magic Breakfast two year 'School Journey'. Once schools who have completed the school journey, the School Partner provides ongoing personalised support and challenge as necessary and in line with the Magic Breakfast strategy and operational plan. The School Partner is expected to actively manage the relationship with each school on their list, including key staff within in each school, to ensure that challenges are overcome, and any slippage is addressed, keeping breakfast a valued and integral part of the school day, safeguarded for the long term.Hours - 4 days/ 28 hours per week term time only depending on role although other part time / flexible hours may be considered. This role will involve early morning breakfast visits to schools which you will need to be able to attend and may require occasional evening and weekend work.About Us:There is, sadly, a child hunger crisis in the UK. Prior to the coronavirus pandemic, as many as 1.7 million school age children in the UK were at risk of hunger in the morning, a crisis which has been exacerbated by Covid-19.A hungry child cannot concentrate. For just 34p, however, Magic Breakfast can provide a healthy breakfast to a child and expert support to their school, opening up hours of crucial lesson time in the morning.Magic Breakfast has partnerships with over 1,000 Primary, Secondary and ASL/Special Educational Needs schools plus Pupil Referral Units across the UK, offering nutritious breakfasts to around 170,000 children each school day. Our aim is to ensure no child in the UK is too hungry to learn.Location: West Midlands - Homebased.
