Lecturer in Biology

Hours:  14.8 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (FIXED TERM CONTRACT TO 31-JULY-2022)

We are looking for a Lecturer in Biology to join our A level team at Tonbridge.

As a Lecturer in Biology you will be required to deliver A-level Biology to A-level students ensuring that learners receive a high-quality learning experience and achieve success.

The A-level department is based at our Tonbridge Campus and comprises a dedicated team of professionals delivering 14 A-level subjects to approximately 160 students. As a department, we aim to support students to achieve the best possible outcomes. Our students progress to university, apprenticeships and employment following the completion of their studies. All students follow a linear A-level pathway.

The ideal candidate will have a full teaching qualification e.g. DTTLS, PGCE, Certificate of Education or equivalent or willingness to obtain one, as well as minimum level 2 English and Math qualifications.  Specialist knowledge of the subject area is essential, supported by a subject specific qualification and evidence of minimum Level 3 qualification.  Previous teaching experience, ideally within FE environment is desirable. Graduates with a desire to work towards a teaching qualification are encouraged to apply.
