Term-time only - 38 weeks per year




Up to 40 hours per week – (worked in shift patterns to cover nursery hours, from 8.00am until 5.00pm. Monday – Friday). We would also be happy to consider dividing the hours to create two 20-hour roles.


Salary: £22,729.71 FTE (Actual salary will be pro-rated: £16,895.40)


Alton College Nursery provides day care for children aged between six months and five years of age and there is space for 28 children at a time. We are open from 8am – 5pm, term time only. The children learn through play in a relaxed environment allowing them to explore and grow. We work to ensure the children who visit our Nursery are nurtured and supported in the early stages of their life.


We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic Nursery Practitioners to join our team at our outstanding nursery, situated in the grounds of HSDC Alton. The ideal candidates must demonstrate that they have a good knowledge of the EYFS and a passion for childcare and development, being able to use their own initiative to ensure that the children’s individual needs are met. The candidates should also be flexible in their working and be a good team player.  They must have good communication skills.


Applicants will have:

  • Level 3 qualification in childcare
  • Paediatric First Aid certificate (desirable) (training can be given)
  • Good experience of working with children aged 0-4
  • Good working knowledge of the EYFS and a passion for childcare and development
