About the role:
We are looking for a skilled adult learning practitioner to lead the next stage of our journey to ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted status and to work with the executive team to deliver an inclusive curriculum that meets the needs of adult learners and the community. This is a senior post with considerable authority and autonomy. The post holder will have the experience and skills to contribute to the strategic leadership of the College and the implementation of its mission: ‘Empowering adults and communities through education, skills and enterprise’.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrable commitment to addressing social disadvantage through education. Qualified to Degree level or equivalent, they will be experienced in managing quality frameworks within the Further Education sector and hold a teaching qualification.
They will have excellent team leadership and management skills, well-developed negotiating and influencing skills, and experience of successful working with community groups, local stakeholders, and the voluntary sector.
