Art Teacher - Basingstoke - Summer Term

Academics are currently seeking a qualified Art Teacher to join an Ofsted rated 'Good' SEMH School in Basingstoke for the summer term.

Summer term only / temp to Perm and perm opportunity - flexibility and willing to discuss at interview.

The school is a small alternative educational centre for pupils ages 11 to 16 years old.
They provide short-term placements for young people in the Basingstoke area who need additional behavioural, emotional or medical support.

Art Teacher - Basingstoke - Summer Term

As an art teacher at this school you should be passionate and engaging to support the students in their learning as well as encouraging them to reach their full potential! The school are seeking an Art Teacher who will not only help the children do well in exam but also to express their emotions through art in a positive way!

You should be able to confidently support the children and build trusting relationships with both them and the staff at the school.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will be:

• Ensuring that the teaching area is organized appropriately to provide a safe, tidy, pleasant and stimulating environment.
• Planning and delivering an appropriate curriculum based on individual needs having due regard to pupil entitlement.
• Teaching a range of subjects at different levels across the key stages.
• Developing and maintaining positive relationships with families/carers.

You will need an enhanced DBS check to be considered for this role.
