The Role

As a Lecturer in Games Design you’ll teach across a range of provision and have ownership of your own programme. You’ll work with our Curriculum Leaders and Faculty Head to further develop our Games Design pathway, potentially towards both our Further Education and Degree levels of study.

As a candidate you’ll have recent teaching experience, be familiar with issues facing young people and be flexible in your approach to delivery. You should hold a relevant academic or professional qualification at degree level (or equivalent). You should also hold (or be willing to work towards) a recognised teaching qualification.

Teaching experience and awareness of related, current industrial/commercial practice within Games Design is essential. Your role will be vital in delivering the training and assessment of vocational skills, ensuring that our students enjoy an exceptional learning experience, with Excellence, Employability, Enterprise and Engagement at its core.

 

The majority of students will be aged between 16 and 20 and will typically progress to HE Design courses. Your duties will primarily focus on the coordination of a single programme with a secondary focus on fostering external links with schools, industry and enterprise.
