This is a full-time position 08:30 – 17:00, 37 hours a week, with a 16:30 finish on a Friday.

What do you need to be successful?

You will have experience of working with learners who have an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP) or have declared an additional support need and fully understand the processes involved to assess, plan, do and review support for these individuals. You will also be able to set targets and track this as dictated by an EHCP. Targets will then be reviewed on a regular basis and updated where needed.

This will be in conjunction with the teaching team in each Faculty. All targets will feed into the students’ annual review which you will attend as part of your role. You will have a wide knowledge of disabilities and learning difficulties.

You will understand the importance of transition for students moving from Secondary Education to Post-16 (Further Education) and coordinate this process.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating effective professional relationships with colleagues, learners and the wider community are essential.  Good administrative skills required and flexibility to travel between Oxfordshire campuses.

What are the benefits of this role?

We offer a friendly, supportive and inclusive working environment, where no two days the same, staff are valued and CPD is provided.

By working in an educational setting, you will have the opportunity to share your skills, develop mentoring and training capabilities and potentially widen your own employment prospects.

You may not have considered using your skills in this way before, so this could take your career and experience in a new direction and may also present opportunities longer term, to provide you with a varied and fulfilling career path.
