In order to respond to the changing needs of employers, The Sixth Form plans to launch a brand-new Student Professional Growth Programme for the start of the new academic year. This programme will incorporate elements of high quality online personalised learning modules to support a career 'pathway’ of choice, as well as a series of ‘live’ sessions and opportunities to choose associated enrichment activities that would support their chosen pathway and personal development.

The professional growth programme will be available to students in both their first and second year. During their first year, students will have the opportunity to develop key employability skills which will strengthen their applications to university, degree apprenticeships and employment.  In their second year, the focus for students will be upon strengthening the necessary academic skills required for successful completion of their core study programme and for a smooth transition to higher education.

The Professional Growth Programme will include an online learning platform, where students will complete modules in relation to their chosen career pathway over a 30-week period.  All students will also undertake 6 weeks of live lessons, where they will develop skills such as teamwork and communication, through a variety of assessment-centre style activities.

Candidates should be able to take up post from August 24th 2022.
