Construction Workshop Technician

up to £26,100 p.a.

Salary dependent on skills and experience

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and outstanding construction workshop technician who can make a real contribution to ensuring our learners have a great experience. Our aspiration is to become an outstanding provider in Surrey. Nescot College will see significant investment and growth in the next few years, adding to its existing portfolio of construction provision, making it one of the most exciting places to teach in Surrey. Having recently invested over £30 million in our facilities to provide our students with access to the best facilities and equipment, we are seeking to ensure that our students are skill ready when they leave the door and are armed with an understanding of the current developments in the relevant technical disciplines.

Ideally applicants should have experience and knowledge of the construction industry.  However, experience of working in a workshop or manufacturing setting would also be advantageous for prospective applicants, as would be the ability to demonstrate a good level of organisational skills and health and safety awareness.  The role involves handling and movement of materials, as well as maintaining tidy workshop spaces.  You will work across a number of construction areas including brickwork, plastering and carpentry

This role is to assist in setting out motor vehicle resources and equipment in the workshop, to support practical lessons and to maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment.  The role will suit a motor vehicle technician with relevant experience of servicing vehicles, maintaining tools and equipment.  Candidates will have a passion for high standards, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven record of providing outstanding support and service.

We can offer you the facilities of a College campus set in 7 acres of green belt in a peaceful setting with excellent transport links. We are in a location convenient to London and the South East with a large free on-site car park.

This role is employed through Nescot Enterprises Ltd, a whole owned subsidiary of Nescot which operates different terms and conditions.

Closing Date for applications is Thursday 30 June 2022
