The College is an anchor institution for the town and local area and we are ambitious for our students and the local economy. This includes being a key partner in the recently formed Skills Partnership with Wigan Council, Edge Hill University, Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the college, as well as working with the GM Colleges Group and spearheading our role as lead FE provider in the newly formed Greater Manchester Institute of Technology. The College has a range of exciting Capital projects in process which are further developing an exciting and contemporary learning environment for our students.k
We are seeking a highly motivated, flexible and enthusiastic individual to provide learning support for students with a range of learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Working within the College’s Additional Learning Support Team, you will provide individualised and sensitive support.
You will provide support to meet learner’s needs both in and outside of class. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to form trusting and effective relationships with both students and staff.
A firm knowledge and understanding of students with learning difficulties and disabilities in an educational setting is essential as is a Level 2 Qualification in Learning Support or a related field.
